How to get to Prespa and Agios Germanos
Most of our guests drive. To get to Prespa, the nearest city is Florina, and Agios Germanos is about 45 km from it. This guide names the ways of reaching Prespa and the official pages to check. It prints no journey times, timetables or fares, because they change and are best checked at the source.

By car
Most of our guests come by car, mostly from Athens and Thessaloniki, and many travel from abroad. According to the Municipality of Prespes tourism portal, the usual approaches are through Florina and through Kastoria, the two main cities of the region.
Check your route in a map app before you set out, and ask us if you would like directions. In winter, read Prespa in winter first: it links the forecast and the Hellenic Police advice on winter driving.
By bus
The tourism portal says that the bus operators KTEL Florina and KTEL Kastoria run regular routes to and from Athens and Thessaloniki, and that KTEL Florina serves routes to and from the settlements of the Municipality of Prespes. We could not find the Prespes routes on the operators' own sites, so ask the operator before you travel. KTEL Florina is at ktel-florinas.gr and KTEL Kastoria at ktel-kastorias.gr.
By train
Hellenic Train announced that direct trains between Thessaloniki and Florina, via Edessa, would resume from Saturday 30 May 2026, according to SKAI, 26 May 2026. We print no times. Check Hellenic Train before you plan around it.
By air
The portal says that the national airport of Kastoria, "Aristotelis", is connected to Athens by regular routes. The airline SKY express lists flights from Athens to Kastoria; we print no fares or times. For flights to northern Greece, see the page of Thessaloniki Airport. Flights change, so check before you plan.
